I am very sorry to learn of Bill's passing. He and I were classmates at Wynantskill Central School as well as Troy High.
An amusing incident at our elementary school graduation has stayed in my memory all these years. A school district official was handing the diplomas to each student and then shaking his or her hand. When Bill came up to receive his diploma, being a natural lefthander (?), he stuck out his left hand for the shake and was politely told by the official to extend the other one.
