I was so saddened to hear of Steve's passing. We played ball together as kids, from Little League to Babe ruth through High School. I haven't seen Steve since our 50th class reunion, but when I have met Steve over the years he always had a smile and treated me with kindness and respect. Rest in peace my friend and classmate, You will be missed.

Steve was in my Second Grade class. For show Show and Tell, Steve told a riveting story about how his older brother was learning to ride a bicycle, was running down hill on their street, and realized he had no brakes! Steve had us gasping for breath, and it was obvious then what a capable public speaker he was going to be.

In First Grade, Steve was stand in front of me, waiting to go in for the afternoon session, talking with Billy Levenstein, who was in back of me. I wanted Steve to turn around, so I stepped in his foot. The next day, I was called into the principal's office, and I couldn't imagine how she knew about this. Shs didn't - she had a question about a mutual acquaintance. I was so relieved.

I am so sorry to hear about Steve.

I am sorry to hear about the death of Steven Dworsky; I knew him and his

family well; and remember his following his dad's interest in politics. Last time

I saw him was at a class reunion; and he was talking about Troy, city mayor

form of government, etc. He was also part of the 201 Homeroom  gang of Ms. Dunn.

My condolences to his two daughters and family.   Joyce Freedman Apsel

Like everyone, I was saddened by Steve's passing. He certainly a bright light in our class. Unfortunately, our ranks are thinning a lot faster than our waistlines.

Best to all

Steve was a true breed Trojan, loving and working to improve our home town.   I remember seeing him when he was city manager checking the sea wall along the river after a severe spring flood.  I am sure he was pleased to see how the city downtown was reviving as a place to live with four new apartment buildings.   He was the type of classmate that was liked by all.  ANd an avid sports enthusiast and good story teller.   A memorable friend.

So sorry to hear that Steve has passed away. We were very close friends at Troy High and had many wonderful times together. He tried to get me to play football but, my father wouldn't let me, so I became a soccer guy.  Thank goodness for that because I loved soccer and probably would have gotten hurt playing football. We did play a lot of basketball and baseball together and Steve was always a fierce competitor. He did his best at whatever he tried and always had a positive attitude.

We lost touch a few years after college and only saw each other at a few of the class of 62 reunions. I did follow his progress as Troy's city manager and always respected his ability to bring people together. It wasn't an easy job and there were lots of contentious issues. Suffice it to say that he did what he thought was best for Troy.

Condolences to his family---he was a "good guy and a great friend" and will be missed.
