BRUNSWICK — Cheryl D. DeCarlo Watson, age 67, beloved wife of the Charles "Chuck" R Watson Jr., died on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Velma Harrington DeCarlo. She was a graduate of Wynantskill Elementary School, Troy High School, class of 1967 and Albany Medical Center, School of Nursing where she attained her degree as an L.P.N. She worked for several years doing private duty nursing, created the C.A.S.E. after school program at St. Jude’s Elementary School and was a teacher’s aide in the Brittonkill School District. Cheryl was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church in Eagle Mills and was active in Christian education. She was also the Christian education director at the Brunswick Presbyterian Church. Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughter, Stasia M. (Justin) Watson of Greenwich; a son, Andrew (Samantha) Watson of Brunswick; her granddaughters, Charlotte, Victoria and Winnie; a grandson, Lincoln; her sister, Carol (Joe) Gross of North Greenbush; and her brothers, Rocky (Jaynne) DeCarlo and Paul (Heidi) DeCarlo, both of Wynantskill. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service from the Hope United Methodist Church, 566 Brunswick Road, Troy on Sunday, August 14, at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor David Martin, officiating.
