The following message was shared by the THS Class of 1968 about David Biggs. Many of you remember him and would want to be aware of his illness:
Good afternoon classmates and guests.
I'm writing to update you on a serious medical situation with our Class of '68 President, David Biggs. Some of you may already be aware, but I suspect most are not.
David entered St. Peter's hospital in Albany on October 4th for surgery to replace a heart valve. Unfortunately, there were complications. As of Friday, per his wife Monica, his condition is going in the right direction, but he is still on a ventilator, dialysis and a life support ECMO machine. He apparently had pneumonia as well, but that is decreasing.
I don't have a lot of the medical details, but suffice it to say he is in a precarious situation and could use all the prayers and support the class can muster.
My thanks to Dick Horsfall, via Monica, for this information. I will keep the class apprised of any status information I receive.
Chris Miller
PS - David is now off life support but still in critical condition.
