Sandra Echols Chavez

Ugggh. Ok, well not much has changed since the 10 year, oh, except for husband and 2 more kids part. We are both teachers at the same school (yes, that is how we met) I have been living in California for 16 years now. Currently in Sacramento area about 60 min from skiing. With 3 kids (and one still in diapers) I don't ski much, but husband does. I still teach photography, and currently yearbook as well. Weirdest fact about me: my oldest daughter and youngest daughter were born on the same day, to the hour, 13 years apart. With the cycle completed, I knew I was done. Most recently, I have started to attempt to lose all that baby weight gain. Since stopping "nursing" the baby of the family, I have lost 10lbs in the last 4 months. Not a lot, but enough to keep me motivated. My only sister had her first baby the same week I had my last baby. (Cousins a few days apart) Now she is due again, and just a few weeks before our reunion, she will be home birthing her second baby. As my husband and I have no boys, we are hoping it is a baby boy!! No, I won't be assisting in the delivery, but will be taking photos. I love photographing delivery and births, and was going to post some of those photos for you, but my husband said you would all be sicked out. (Apparently not everyone is interested in a close up of the placenta?)

My favorite school story didn't happen at school, but at the house of Michelle Alexander Thatcher. Her favorite bird escaped his cage and flew away. We walked the neighborhood trying to find him. It was so sad. I think we gave up and played basketball with Jeff Brown instead.
