Life's been a wonderful challege without a doubt and I'm just beginning Chapter Eight!!
Chapter 1- 1972-1978 UofA, danced to Fast Eddie and the Rodeo Kings, married Tucson cabinet maker & mandolin player THC in 1975; worked at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and lived in an Icosahedron dome west of ASDM!
Chapter 2- New life and career, single in San Francisco 1978 to 1985, freelance photographer, met Ansel Adams 3x, studied with Cole Weston in Carmel and Fran Ortiz in SF; started working in financial district with Ketchum Advertising, then Security Pacific Bank. Worked weekends at the Marine Mammal Center in the Marin Headlands for a year.
Chapter 3 - Marriage #2 in 1985, SF financial district career with Security Pacific Bank and Bank of America as Human Resource Manager for 14 years; hatched two beautiful daughters, bought a home and began raising them in Walnut Creek, CA.
Chapter 4 - Moved with family to Beaverton, Oregon in 1996 where I became a full time mom and Girl Scout Leader for two troops for 7 years. Hiked with the girls in the rain on Mt Hood, camped at the ocean at Cannon Beach, and everything in between - loved being a MOM.
Chapter 5- 2003 brought some gut wrenching challenges, 19 years marriage over moved daughters back to Alameda CA on the edge of San Francisco Bay, rented a house and sold kitchen remodels at H & G Shows, trade shows.
Chapter 6 - Put my oldest daughter through college Portland State where she graduated at 19 in 2006. She is now the lead educator in the planetarium at OMSI in Portland OR. My youngest attended 4 years at Alameda High School in CA where she graduated with honors in summer 2008. She's in her freshman year at Chabot College studying photography and graphic design.
Chapter 7 - Landed on my feet in 2008 when I took an administrative job for an elder care management agency, a division of the Sutter Health System's Visting Nurses Assoc. and Hospice.
Chapter 8 - 2009 -Another new beginning starts NOW...with a trip to NY to hear my Sara and her adult choir sing at Carnegie Hall, followed by helping her plan her wedding in October! My goals: Learn website design and Photoshop to work with Ventanas en Corcodova, in Costa Rica.
