Shawn Carter Cook

1990 to 1997 worked as a roofer in the hot Tucson sun with my dad as my boss. In 1992 I met my future wife at St. Pius church as I was coaching Volleyball for the church youth. I continued coaching volleyball for the church and then started coaching volleyball for girls varsity for Arizona Academy of Tucson and City league coed team. In 1997 stopped working at the roofing company and started a state job working as a prison officer at the state prison in Tucson. I was working with other people from class of 1990 to include Jon Doody, Martin Mueller, and class of 1992 Mike Hartung. I promoted my way up from Correctional Officer I to CoII to Sergeant, CoIII, and currently a Correctional Lieutenant. Some of the stories I can tell...... Got Married in 1998 and first child in 2000. Wife works as a teacher for TUSD teaching elementary grades 1, 2, and 3. Still speak to Todd Anderson, Martin Mueller and get updates on Joel Evans and Jon Doody. Kinda lost touch of most people, as it happens.

I remember when I was asked to pull our senior float with my 63 Chevy pick up truck that was powder blue with flames. Man I miss that truck. Parents sold it while I was over at Muellers house one day so they could buy a car for my younger sister. They sold it for 4k and gave me $1500.00 for a new car. I was upset because I was offered 10k earlier that week and turned it down. I also remember the crazy races to McDonalds during lunch between Jon Blonder, Martin Mueller, James Carr, and myself not to mention others.
