Millennium Promise

The year 2010 marks the ten year reunion for the Class of the 2000 and on 10/10/10 the students of Generation Millennium will unite to show support for the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)

Over Columbus Day Weekend beginning Friday October 8 through Sunday October 10, 2010, Sahuaro High School Class of 2000 will host the ‘Millennial Party’ in Tucson, Arizona.

Join us as we celebrate our accomplishments and take action to be part of the generation that puts an end to poverty.  We encourage all graduates from the Millennium to participate in our campaign to help the greater good.

The Goals are a set of 8 benchmarks to eradicate extreme poverty, achieve universal primary education, promote gender equality & empower women, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, combat major diseases, ensure environmental sustainability and develop a global partnership for development by the year 2015.

“Stand Up, Take Action, End Poverty Now” is coordinated globally by the United Nations Millennium Campaign and Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP) in collaboration with a side range of partners.
