Joe must have died in 1967 or 1968. I was told that he was shot in Viet Nam while crossing a river.I know that the death notice reads Caldwell, but I was told that this is Joe Root.
James, Thank you for posting this information on Joe. I had looked for Joe Root's name when I was at The Wall previously. I will be there this Memorial Day and will be able to honor his service at that time. Looking online, I see his name is on Panel 12E-Line 82.
