After leaving Tucson in 1980, I started working in the film industry as a production manager and post production supervisor. In 1987, I began developing music education programming for the Grammy Awards foundation. Since that time, I've stayed in the music industry working in several capacities; now focusing on music/artist management. Additionally, along with my business partner, we created inner-city music education programs for young people in Los Angeles; many of whom we manage today. We also created a non profit organization, Creative Counseling Network (CCN.org) in 2005, providing arts therapy programming for at-risk youth for several mental health agencies throughout Los Angeles.

School Story

Playing on Sabino HS' baseball team...I think we won 1 or 2 games in the two years I played...not conducive to building confidence in a ball player; especially a pitcher...but I made great friends there and have many fond memories of that time.

I noticed "Thomas" Jenkins was on the missing classmates list...Here's a pic of "Jeff" and I from the summer of '76...we were in Carmel, CA where Jeff lived before moving to Tucson mid-way through his junior year in high school...he was studying horticulture at the U of A at the time and then transferred to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to finish his degree....we had great time together in Carmel as he started out his very successful career in landscape design and maintenance...hopefully Jeff will check in with the reunion site in the near future...

I should also add that I came to Sabino halfway through my junior year. I arrived in Tucson, drugged, lost and totally without an inner-compass (nor a moral one for that matter). It was an extremely difficult time in my life; having lived in a very different culture in Anaheim, CA. I have said this many times to my friends and family, and especially to the young people I've worked with over the years: if it hadn't been for that "little" school - out in the middle of nowhere (through my eyes at 16) and my friends, and baseball and football teammates, I know I would not be alive today. So even though I wasn't able to attend the reunion, I still carry those memories very close to my heart and I know they will always be with me. Even seeing the pics of you now, and reading your thoughts and shared memories via FB, continues to stoke those warm feelings I have always carried for my classmates at Sabino HS. An amazing place, an amazing group of people.

Hey Mark, I was thinking about you just the other day...a memory of heading up to Mt. Lemon in your old Power Wagon. Best wishes to you and Deb. BB

Never a dull moment when hanging out with John. We shared so many great times together as SAE's at the UofA; he was loved by all, especially his ferrets at the SAE house. I know he's having a blast somewhere. RIP Brother John. Phi Alpha.

Frank was a great friend and classmate. I'll never forget our times together at Eastern AZ College in Thatcher after graduating from Sabino in '75. Anyone remember when he returned a kick off in the minute of our football game against Saguaro HS? Amazing.  He was fastest big man I ever knew; even watched him beat Mark Gastineau in a foot race at Eastern Az...Frank also made sure I got to a hospital after I injured myself with a tool from our zoology kits at EA. he deeply loved his wife, children and family. RIP Frank you were a great friend and someone I always looked up too.
