When I think of how young we all were and literally walked ALL over town! I wouldn't even let my boys walk down the street in Lubbock or here in Arlington.

Not much, lol. I used to garden a lot! I can't do that much anymore. We like to go to Dallas and hit the farmers market or go into Ft.Worth or Colleyville to a gourmet grocery store. The one in Colleyville is one of the United Grocers=Market Street. We love going over there so we can get things from the Lubbock area that you can't get down here otherwise.

That I have catered a lot of functions for famous people like Nolan Ryan, Eathan Hawke, George W. Bush. I kept Bush supplied with my Blue Ribboned preserves while he was the Govennor. I sent him some while he was in the Whitehouse, also.

You know how they say, when something major happens and you always remember where you were and what you are doing? I was walking in to home room from band and Mr Gatewood had the radio playing thru the speaker. Some one yelled at me " Kenndey had been shot!" We were out of school for those next few days. It was a cold blustery weekend and Donna Bookout and I hung out as usual and we watched as the whole thing developed.
My son turned the T.V. to the old "Miracle on 34Th St" and it took me right back to Tulia in the big old auditorium in the Jr High building. Mr. Gatewood had us all down there to watch it right before we got out for Christmas.

No. I occasionally get to go visit my mom's grave and I HAVE to drive "dip street".

Go back to Washington, D.C. and spend more time in the Smithsonian

We want to go to upper New England and California, also.

Yes, Ray and Evellen Simpson. My Sarchet and Simpson family members,as well as my Mother are all buried there.
