Dr. David Brian Burgess, 48, of Tyler died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church in Tulia with the Rev. Rob Lindley, pastor, and the Rev. Ernie McGaughey, retired Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home.

Dr. Burgess was born in Canyon on Sept. 7, 1953. He was a family practice and emergency room doctor.

Survivors include three sons, Dustin Craig Burgess of Tyler, Devin Scott Burgess of Merchant Marine Academy Kingsport, N.Y., and Donovan Brian Burgess of Tyler; his parents, David and Mary Burgess of Tulia; and a brother, Don Layton Burgess of Flower Mound.

Visitation will be at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler from 5 to 7 p.m. today. The body will be available for viewing from 10 a.m. Friday until service time at Wallace Funeral Home.
