HAPPY - Joan Frost, 49, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Happy's Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Name Catholic Church with Monsignor Harold Waldo, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Frost was born May 14, 1954, in Tulia to Loyd and Genevieve Beckman Nobile. She married Zeke Frost in San Jon, N.M., on March 21, 1974, and upon their marriage she gained a daughter, Dawn.

She also served as vice president for Happy Days Association. She was a member of Women's Study Club of Happy and the ladies auxiliary of the Happy Volunteer Fire Department. She also served as past secretary of Panhandle Delta Zeta Sorority and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer.

She was named Swisher County Woman of the Year in 1996. She was active in anything involving the youth of Happy and was instrumental in helping to facilitate the new community center in Happy.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Dawn Gibson and husband, Claud, of Corsicana; two grandsons, Gavin Gibson and C.L. Gibson, both of Corsicana; her mother of Amarillo; three brothers, Raymond Nobile, Jimmy Nobile and David Nobile, all of Amarillo; three sisters, Sue Hilderbrand of Georgetown, Karen Daniel of Aiken, S.C., and Carol Crawford of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
