KIM'S OBITUARY

Tulia, Texas-Kim E. Carter, 67, died Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 21, 2020 in the Church of Christ in Happy with Mr. Rick Bloodworth officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home in Tulia.
Kim was born in Canyon, Texas on May 16, 1953 to Glen Curtis and Essie Mae Carter. He was raised 18 miles northwest of Tulia in a farming community. The youngest of two brothers and one sister, Fred, Bob and Mary Beth.
He attended most of his schooling in Happy and graduated from Tulia High School in 1972. He married Peggy Lynn McGavock in 1976. They have two children, Curtis Nelson and Tammie Beth and two grandchildren, Aidin and Kinse.
Kim had an endless knowledge of classic cars and delighted on restoring many vehicles over the years. He was a strong figure for his kids and many of their friends, always happy and cutting up with them.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister. He is survived by his wife: Peggy Carter of Tulia, two children: Curtis and his wife Jessica Carter of Leander, Texas and Tammie Carter of Colorado Springs and two grandchildren: Aidin and Kinse of Colorado Springs,
his two brothers: Fred Carter of Amarillo and Bob and Patsy Carter of Godley, Texas. Memorials may be made to the High Plains Children's Home, 11461 South Western Street, Amarillo, TX 79118.
