School Story:
On the day of the graduation prom in 1959 my fellow Edison classmate Dwight and I, drove to Joplin, MO to purchase whiskey for all of our high school buddies with the money they had paid us to do so. After we purchased the whiskey and brought it back to Tulsa we hid it in a farmer's field and told all of our friends to meet us there before the prom for distrubution. While we were hiding it, a farmer came up and asked what we were doing and we told him and asked if we could leave the liquor there until later that night and he looked at us with a big smile and said "sure you can". So when we returned that evening with all our friends, obviously the liquor was gone. Not only was the liquor gone, I did not have the money to reimburse them for what they had paid me. Luckily they didn't kill me, but they had a very discouraged look on their face when I had explained where the liquor might have gone. All these friends were Edison High School 1959 male graduates. So if any of this applies to you maybe you'll get a kick out of remembering this story.
