LOS ANGELES - Associated Production Music (APM) a division of EMI/Universal Music Publishing launched an internal Movie Trailer music licensing unit to help meet growing demand for film and video game trailer music. The library has also hired music licensing executive and composer Brian Brasher to head up the new effort.
As key account director at APM, Brasher will license music from more than 25 APM libraries, working with clients ranging from trailer houses, movie studios, ad agencies, video game distributors and marketing agencies.
Brasher cut his teeth in the music business as a founding member and Guitar Player for the multi-platinum selling recording artist CREED, a Florida-based rock band that sold over 20 million albums. He is a collaborator on two of Creed's 1 hit songs "What's this Life For" and "One". He is a member of BMI, The Recording Academy/NARAS Los Angeles/Atlanta Chapter, Georgia Music Industry Association (GMIA), NARIP, AIMP, and is currently writing, producing and composing production music with top LA session musicians. He’s worked in the music industry for 16 years, specializing in production music licensing for the past seven.
