Working as editor-in-chief of "The Voice" school newspaper and attending the Oklahoma Interscholastic Press Association competition at OU my senior year, at which the paper won the Highest Honors award.

Nope. I do have some who are Facebook "friends," but I don't see any classmates regularly.

Finishing a master's degree in Communication Arts in 1999 and the births of my four beautiful children.

Ran into Steve Tyler of Aerosmith in Albertson's once. I would have been more excited to see his daughter, Liv.

I attend church with the oldest and youngest Hanson brothers, Isaac and Zach, but I have to admit, I was never a fan of their music, but they are great guys and have beautiful families.

That I went on to complete a master's degree--I wasn't a very motivated student through junior high and the first half of high school. I'm sure my sophomore English instructor, Mrs. Golden, would be shocked to know I went on to get a bachelor's in English.

I'm surprised that each year so far is better than the last. One perk of aging is losing the self-consciousness we sometimes have when we're younger.

Life comes and goes as quick as a puff of vapor--don't waste it on vain pursuits. As you strive to succeed, don't do it at the expense of those around you--there's room for everyone to succeed and it's easier when we cooperate and help one another.
