Kristi - Happy Birthday!!! I don't do cake so you can have my piece!!! I'll take 2!!

Ron - Glad to hear you're getting back to work in March.

Update on dad for those of you wondering. He may be coming home next week. He's just gotten to where he has been able to transfer himself from the bed to his chair without assistance. The paralysis is permenant from his lower chest/upper waist down.(a bit higher than we originally thought) He will need 24/7 care but is breathing on his own and hasn't even needed any oxygen for a few days. Hoping to get the trach out before he comes home. Waiting to get a break with the weather to put in the ramp. Thank you everyone for all your prayers. He knows what you've been doing and greatly appreciates it.

How is everyone else doing?? It's SERIOUSLY COLD here. Our high for the tomorrow morning is only going to be -12. And that's not including the wind chill!! Brrrrrrrrr!

Send some warmth our way please!

lori-- there is no warmth here in T-town. we are sitting at 15 with the wind chill at 4 below. at least thats what it was the last time i looked. oh, and lets not forget the snow. we were getting some nice snow this morning at 530, of course it wont last, and it was a very fine snow, so its blowing all over the place. im sure it will only add up to a trace. send us some snow. i want something deep.

Hey guys and gals! It has been a while since I have posted and lurked.

Joyce and Stacy--I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch together! It was sooo fun just to sit and chat.

Lori--I am glad to hear that your dad is making progress. I know that he will be so excited to go home!! I am sorry that I did not get to see pictures of the snow in Chicago during the holidays. Joyce did show me a picture, though. It looked lovely!

Ron--Glad that your surgery went well. Hang in there with your therapy! Do not get too bored at home! I was extremely excited to hear that Bradford is staying at OU. We still have a chance at that Championship.

Hey everyone just stopping in to check on what's going on doesn't look like a whole lot. I'm suspecting we have some lurkers in our midst I know after Christmas there has to be something to report.

Personally we had a great Christmas Katie was spoiled as usual "Of course it is all Steph's fault." I had a real good time putting Katie's basketball goal together left handed (I THINK NOT!) but don't pay any mind to me I'm just a big 'ole scrooge anyway.

I'm still rehabbing my shoulder so I'm afraid anything I have to report is uneventful. Stephanie will be starting her new job at OneOk Monday as a paralegal to the CEO of the company so no casual friday's for her. She has also been working on training our new Cocker Spaniel she wants to make him into a therapy dog that you take to the hospitals and nursing homes to let people interact with him.
Katie is doing great in school she is making straight A's at Jenks so were both proud of her in that area. We had a little scare over this last month Stephanie took Katie in to visit a dermatologist about her achne. But while she was there Steph had the doctor look at a mole she had on her shoulder so they cut it off and tested it and found that it was Melanoma. We ended up taking Katie in for a surgery where they removed a portion of tissue below the skin and when they where done she had a four inch incission on her arm. Good news though tests on that tissue came back negative so needless to say were happy now we just have to bring her in to the doctor once a year. So don't second guess yourselves mom's if you think something is out of wack with your child follow your gut.

Pam- It is good news for us Sooner fan's that Bradford is returning next football season. Now we get to look forward to the Texas game at the Cotton Bowl next season it should prove to be a good one.

Stacy- I read on my e mail that you had confirmed me as a friend on facebook but I cant seem to find your page.

Kari- I'm glad to hear your coming back to Oklahoma I hope your happy about that to.

Hi Joyce. Hope you had a great birthday. How does it feel to be old? Just kidding. Although it is fun being one of the youngest in the class. I'm so lucky to have so many friends that can give me advise on AARP and Social Security.

Welcome back to Tulsa Kari!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Rayanne Griffin (Tobey)

Hey everyone. I have been doing nothing but working 7 days straight since before the holidays. Between that and a 3 year old there hasn't been much else. Hope everyone is well, safe and in good spirits.

Lori - great news on your dad.

Joyce - see you tomorrow at Gymnastics - Ainsley can't wait to show off for you.

All (especially Amy) we are working on the video - we've been cropping pictures (I have only limited time until this trial is over mid February so Kelly D is helping) but we're trying to get all the old elementary pics as well as the middle school, high school and then add the in between years from (1988 to 2008). It is a huge task and while it is coming along it has been slower than I would have hoped. If anyone has additional pictures let me know. We'll get them in along with the videos we took at the reunion. So many people don't have their yearbooks anymore so we're trying to recapture those images for everyone to have. It would be simpler just to use the new (digital pictures) but it wouldn't be nearly as "complete" a picture of our lives from Kindergarten forward. We appreciate your understanding.

Hope you're all safe down there in Tulsa!

01/27/09 11:23 PM #1874

Stacy Koch (Narrin)

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! It's been a great day. I got to sleep in because school was canceled due to the ice. Jim also stayed home because he couldn't navigate the roads around our house. He was really sweet and made a big breakfast for all of us (and even cleaned up the mess afterward!). Then we all went sledding down the street in our neighborhood. Really fun, and didn't crash into anything! Came back and drank hot chocolate and sat by the fireplace to warm up. Late in the day the ice turned to snow. I wrapped up in a blanket and sat out on the back porch for a while enjoying the gentle quiet that seems to envelope everything while snow falls. Why is that, I wonder? After I got cold I came inside and made snickerdoodles with Rachel. I think we've already eaten about half of them. And bonus!.....No school tomorrow either, so I can stay up late and sleep in again! Score!!
Aren't simple pleasures the greatest?
