Raising 4 children, & returning to work part time recently ~ private practice in speech/language pathology; volunteering: coaching AYSO soccer past 14 seasons for my children's teams over the years; publishing center @ our children's elementary school & class volunteer; in-home moms group/ladies' bible study hosted @ my home; kindergarten release time teacher for Good News bible club through Child Evangelism Fellowship; teach adult Sunday school class @ my church ("Experiencing the Words of Jesus" by Max Lucado is what I'm expanding upon currently); choir; running kids everywhere now: wrestling, football, baseball, soccer, field hockey & track events & my oldest daughter to work part time @ Pet Paradise...soon she'll be 16 & will be getting ready to drive herself around...Lord have mercy!!!
By the time of our reunion, it will be our 20th wedding anniversary...who'd have thought back then a senior girl would be married to her freshman boyfriend, let alone all those years?! God knew Frank would be just right for our family to prosper as it has, so I'm grateful.
I don't know whatever possessed me at the time, but in 9th grade we had that curly haired substitute in for our history teacher, & I got carried away in the moment for some reason of a slight rebellion & flicked a tiny piece of gum from my seat & it actually did get caught in his hair...who'd have thought?!No, it wasn't Mike Merrill, as I suppose he must have thought, so my conscience made me come clean on this so our class wouldn't have to stay behind any longer. The assistant principal wanted to persecute me for this, but our principal, I'm so very grateful for this...was full of grace, & gave me a second chance to get back on track, & I did. I'm glad he believed in me.
I have to thank Cindy Watson, my field hockey friend too, because if it hadn't been for her big mouth I wouldn't be where I am today, & with my family. I was always very conservative when it came to checking out boys, & would never tell them if I were interested. At the first dance our senior year, Cindy just casually asked afterward if anyone interested me, & I showed her the one who caught my eye that night, & because he happened to be her cousin, she thought she had to take the matter into her own hands, & did as she proceeded to inform her cousin of my interest. Funny how that worked out, or providence, because I probably never would have noticed him again if she hadn't helped it along so brazenly.
