I graduated from Auburn University in 1974. I began teaching elementary students after graduation and remained at Sanford Middle School for five years. I then moved to Kansas City, Missouri to begin teaching high school special students - divorced, and moved back to Alabama. I started teaching at Central High School in Tuscaloosa and remained there for five years. My final move was to Texas. I began working on my Master's Degree at T.C.U. and graduated from there in 1989 in School Counseling. I have been employed with the Arlington Independent School District for the past 22 years teaching second grade/general education for 13 years, and special education for the past 9 years.
Mike and I enjoy traveling and getting to our lake house in Whitney, Texas. I will be retiring on May 31, 2010 from education - 36 years is enough!
