Obituary for Lila Cheatham

Lila Cheatham, age 78, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in Tyler, Texas. She was born September 21, 1945 in Vinton, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday January 19, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home. A burial will be held at Barber Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Pastor Walter Jones. Lila was a retired as a registered nurse and she was member of Rise Again Baptist Church in Tyler. Lila based her life on Jesus as she was very involved in her church, loved reading her bible, and loved spending time with kids and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by parents, Roy Columbus and Margie Adiline (Barber) Aldridge; husband, Tom Cheatham in 2018; and one great grandchild.

She is survived by sons, Ted and wife, Lyn Cheatham of Lindale, Tony and wife, Jane Cheatham of Lindale, Ricky and wife Karen Cheatham of St. Paul, Missouri; grandchildren, Christian Cheatham, Garric Cheatham, Lauren Lowe, Tevin Cheatham, Amy Cheatham, Jarrod Cheatham; sister, Faye and Larry Cook of Starrville; four great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steven Cook, Cay Riggs, Kevin Cook, Christian Cheatham, Garric Cheatham, and Jason Cook.
