Comments:
When we the “class of 64” graduated the statement was made we were the class to change the world. It is my belief that we have and we have changed it for good. Reading the life stories of other LIONS I see unselfish acts of compassion, kindness and sacrifice from many of my fellow graduates.
Many are like me having had a very successful life are at the passing stage yet continue to reach out to others helping them with their burdens. I know I have been truly blessed by the lives of my friends at JT and REL. Jim Connally is a good friend who shaped the lives of thousands of children and always had the time to help me with Summer Camps for disenfranchised children just for one.
Many of us are fighting cancer or strange disease that we never heard of and there is no treatment. I tell my Doctors who look like my grandchildren that they cannot threaten me with death because I have a home in heaven that is provided by my JESUS.
Regardless, I have enjoyed a wonderful life and have climbed the mountains, fought the fight and truly blessed by our friendships.
