Sandra, little Sandra... Funny is the first word that reminds me of her. Fun and full of life and kind to all she met! I remember selling medical products to the oncology physicians during the time she was very ill and could barely stand up. Yet, she still smiled like always and gave me a hug I will never forget. God Bless You...
Sandra and I re-united when both of us moved back to Tyler. I even worked for a few months at Greenbergs and had a BLAST. I'll never forget seeing her mom watching us laughing because we were having such fun. Every time I hear a woman not wanting to say how old she is, I think of Sandra ...and how much she would LOVE to be 58...59...I saw her a few days before she left us and her first question was...'how are Joe and the kids?"....she was like that...caring, funny, I miss her and think of her often.....
Sweet fun Sandra!!! I was going through my pictures from high school last week and there were many of Sandra...always posing for the camera with that big smile! As soon as she saw a camera she would pose and say "Take". We all piled in Sandra's car for off campus lunch. It was a race to see who would get a good spot. Fun times with Sandra! It is hard to imagine that she is not with us..but she is..in our hearts!
I had no idea that Sandra had passed away and am saddened to find out only today. I spent the night at Sandra's often in high school and we had many fun times together. After moving away from Texas, I ordered a smoked turkey from Greenberg's just to remind me of the good old days. God bless you, Sandra. You and your family will always be remembered very fondly by me.
I knew Sandra a long time in school, probably from days at Gary--at least I think she went there. I know she went to Hogg Jr. Anyway, I do remember how she assisted Jan Alston in some dramatics productions at Lee, and she was quite good in that area, really was an inspirational leader which I think she liked better than being onstage, so to speak. Well, I always remember her as being quite vivacious, funny, intelligent and charming.
It's a shame that she's been gone quite a while now, but know that she's always missed by her family and friends. I think that in those days my family enjoyed several of the Greenberg smoked turkeys around Christmas or Thanksgiving. Wish that I was able to have one now even!!
