30th Reunion Pics

Summary of Events:  We all met Friday afternoon at the USCS High School and were given a grand tour by our tour guide "Tom".  The highlights for us were the auditorium, which used to be our gym.  The room now is filled with built in chairs (like a move theater) with a grand stage, curtains and even a piano.  The tour then continued to the basement where we saw the new woodshop class and saw first hand a car that had been built by USCS students that actually raced in Oswego.  We then walked the halls to see the new Music Room, Computer Labs, Hall of Fame wall, and new gym.  Then walking outside and around we were shown the new "soft" running track, the pretty impressive visitors stands, concessin stand, softball/baseball fields, tennis courts and shot put areas.  Walking over the the front of the school, took a group shot on the steps, toured the new "old school house" which has been revamped to accomodate film, audio/visual productions and then we toured the new library. "Sweet".

We continued on to a BBQ at the Barnes residence next door where the Class of 80 and The Class of 90 combined and exploded in friendly competition and great conversation.

We had front row seats to the Union Springs County Fair parade, which the kids LOVED as they scarfed up more candy than they probably did for Halloween. :)  And then a few of us headed out to the carnival (within walking distance) and met additional people that had dropped in!

Saturday - we all cleaned ourselves up and dressed to impress while the reunion continued at The Holiday Inn in Auburn.  The only time available to sit down was to eat, other than that people were mingling up a storm finding out about everyone's life since graduation.  There were awards given and games played..... a USCS Trivia in which Sandy Banker Maxed out!!  Does everyone remember who was voted what? Sandy did.... Great job!!!

Cheri Ingle presented a plaque which will hold all of the Class of 80 grads that went on to serve our Country. That plaque will hold a place of honor (TBD) in the USCS halls.

Rodney Ray even made a guest appearance!!

Pictures will be posted soon.... stay tuned this weekend.

Thanks again to Cheri, Penny and Lori for your assistance on the ground... I could have never done this wihtout you!!
