Ol' Jim Boy - - - memories of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and school days way back when.  I hope that his later years were full of the comfort and joy that so many of us in our class were privileged to have.  I do remember that he was a fine musician and a good student and seemed to enjoy himself at Arlington.

Rest well, Golden Bear . . .

Jim is one of those classmates of whom I have few specific memories now, but clearly recall that 1) we were friends, especially in band (where perhaps he played trombone?), and 2) he was a gracious, good-humored and easy person to be around. Comfort and blessings on his family and friends.

Jim and I first met on March 5, 1949.  Ever since that time, Jim and I remained special friends. Jim had an unusual sense of humor which had me in stitches. Our families spent most holidays together..Xmas, TG etc. so, were "one big family. " Jim and I excelled in swimming, where we broke school records. Jim was my best friend. I will miss him.

I was saddened to hear about Jim.  He and I were fellow bandmates...he on trombone and me on clarinet. I remember him as also being a great athlete. RIP, Jim.

Jim and I were close friends in high school.  We were both in the trombone section and would hang out after school when we could.  The thing I remember most vividly, however, was my visit with Jim after he moved to San Francisco.  In our nights on the town I had a chance to introduce him to what a good gin martini shoud taste like.  I also remember Jim, his girlfriend, and me renting horses to ride on the beach.  Luckilly his girlfriend knew how to ride because my horse tried to throw me into the ocean 3 times.  Jim was in hysterics,of coure, as his girlfriend "saved "me.

Even though we haven't talked in years, I'm saddened to hear of his passing.

Whenever I needed a laugh or a smile, Jim was the best go-to guy. Whether it was laughing in band practice, or marching, or in and out of the hallways, Jim was the guarantor of joy. His smiles and his marvelous contagious laugh will live on.

Rock on, bro Jim, rock on.

Well, I remember Jim from first grade.  I think our teacher's name was Mrs. McGhee at Barrington. He stood out as someone who always had a comment, always "on it."   I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.
