Paul Bogenrief

I am a native Californian and grew up in Whittier, California (1947 - 1958), Richmond, Virginia (1958 - 1963), and Columbus, Ohio (1963 - 1969). After graduating from UAHS in 1965, I attended and graduated from Ohio State in 1969 and the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 1972. I retired from practicing law at the end of December 2003. My wife, Paula (B.S., M.S., University of California, Irvine), is a retired business consultant. We have lived in Newport Beach since 1977. We have one daughter, Christine (B.A., California State University, Fullerton; M.A. San Diego State University), a Vice President of Human Resources for Genea Energy Partners, Inc., who lives with her husband, Michael Doane, an IT Director for Mind Research Institute, in Rancho Mission Viejo, CA. We have one granddaughter, Clementine, born May 13, 2018.

Though I am a native Californian, our family moved to Richmond, Virginia in 1958 and then to Upper Arlington during the summer of 1963 (just before the beginning of my junior year). I wasn't much of an athlete so I concentrated on playing in the band and participating in drama (I won the best actor award in 1965 for my role as the dad in "Take Her She's Mine" [I still have that trophy!]). While at U.A. I dated Sandy Bassett-Tullett, Penny Parker, Dulcy Irwin-Michel, Barbara Grano, Gaye Stevens, and Bobbi Amos-Rosseler. I've stayed in touch with Sandy, Penny, Barbara, and Bobbi but have lost track of Dulcy Irwin and Gaye Stevens.
