Coston-Haynie and husband, Paul, of Eastaboga, Lisa Minor and husband, Matt, of Jacksonville, and Laura Gilbert, of Jacksonville; three great-grandchildren, Ashlan Gilbert, Ella and Elise Minor; several nieces and nephews.

Ike Bridges ANNISTON — Memorial service for Elisha M. "Ike" Bridges Jr., Lieutenant (R), U.S. Navy, 79, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at St. Michael and All Angels Church with the Rev. Bruce White officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Lt. Bridges died Sunday, October 11, 2009, at RMC. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jeanette H. Bridges; two daughters, Patricia Ellen Bridges, of New Orleans, La. and Pamela S. Coston, of Piedmont; one son, Michael W. Bridges and wife, Linda, of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Lynsey R. Coston-Haynie and husband, Paul, of Eastaboga, Lisa Minor and husband, Matt, of Jacksonville, and Laura Gilbert, of Jacksonville; three great-grandchildren, Ashlan Gilbert, Ella and Elise Minor; several nieces and nephews. Lt. Bridges is preceded in death by his parents, Elisha M. Sr. and Violet Bridges and his sister, Martha Barrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Harris, Paul Haynie, Lynn Costner Sr., Lynn Costner Jr., Clay Costner, and Doyle "Butter" Moore. Lt. Bridges was a 1948 Anniston High School graduate and served in the U.S. Navy for 25 1/2 years in the Korean War, Vietnam War, and Cuban Conflict. He also worked at Federal Mogul for 17 years and was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Church.
