Wow...reading some of the profiles here, wish my life was even half exciting, but very happy about where I am in my life.
I got into a relationship at the age of 19 and at the age of 33 was very fortunate to get out of it. Was married for 9 yrs, and have 4 beautiful children -- all boys. You can see with their ages that I was very busy for a while there LOL -- and very much still am. Life hasn't been easy, as my son Dakota (8) is a Leukemia survivor -- 6 years in remission now YAY!!!
My ex was a very controlling man and I missed out on alot of things at a young age, including losing touch with 2 very special people that we graduated with (if reading this, you know who you are). I wasn't permitted to go to college, so I am now pursuing a nursing career, or and educational career. Two dreams I have always had were to either be a nurse or to help deaf children and teach them sign language (but first I have to learn more than just the alpha).
I am very active in my children's lives, and have 3 in cub scouts (youngest very much itching to participate), I volunteer weekly at their school(even with going to school full time, and working part time), I volunteer at 2 leukemia foundations, and I sit on a planning committee for a major fund raiser for a Leukemia Foundation very close to my heart.
I live in Troy, where I have been since 1998 right before my oldest son was born. I have been very blessed by each of my boys, and thank god for them each day.
So many people look so much the same from when we went to high school it is so unbelievable!! Wish I could say the same lol. Unsure if I will be able to make the reunion, but hoping to make the one on Saturday....
