LLOYD TURNER

I went from VHS to Boise Junior College for two years, then to the University or Oregon. Majored in math in preparation for teaching. After graduating from the U.of O., took a teaching job at Jonata School in Buellton,Ca., intending to stay for a couple of years. In 2002, retired from that same school after 37 years of teaching math and physical education. In 1970, I married Lene who was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and immigrated to the U.S. when she was seven years old.

I have so many fond memories of my time at Vale Union High, but especially remember all the good friends, good times, and good teachers we had there. Being a sports fan, there are many great memories of watching our football teams kick butt on the gridiron and playing on the basketball and baseball teams.

Since my retirement I have done very little that was productive. Play lots of golf (3 or 4 times a week) and Lene and I travel as much as our checkbook allows. We also spend as much time as possible with our sons and one grandchild, Hailey, who is 14. Both our sons and their families live in Santa Barbara which is only 35 miles away.
