MURRAY, Bryan Elliot - 1946 to 2007 (age 60, from Cancer)
A bright light went out of the world on the night of April 9th when Bryan died. He was born in Vancouver on Dec. 20, 1946, educated at St. Patricks and Eric Hamber Schools. His passion was golf, a game he enjoyed and respected. So as soon as possible he became an Ass't Pro, working at Marine Drive, University, and courses in Alberta and Arizona.
When he strayed from the golf scene he became well known in the mens fashion industry and the automotive world. He possessed an outstanding mind and could remember details in history, art, music or world events... heaven help you if you ever got in an argument with him. He lived to make people laugh and was very quick on the draw.
Survived by mother Violet, brother Neil, wife Elaine, good friend Rick, plus many wonderful close associates. Two uncles, Jim in California, Gary in Surrey and their respective families. Like his father he loved the birds of the air, may his spirit soar with the eagles. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen 358027

Also saddened to hear of our loss of Brian, who lived across from the Simon Fraser school yard and so was a reliable presence at "pickup" baseball and football games in the yard. Also, of course, weekly poker games at his house, which he or his brother seemed to reliably win. Thanks for the me.memories.

I never exchanged one word with Bryan in many years both before and after I left the neighbourhood in 1958, and I only had an infrequent connection with him through pickup sports at Simon Fraser on weekends, but he was always friendly and seemed positive about life - a good guy.
