Reunion Annual 1986
At 22, Karsten married Ruth, lived in Vancouver for 1 year, then to Victoria for 8 where they ran a drapery & interior decorating business. Upon realizing they wanted something different, they sold their house, furniture and everything else, loaded up the VW van, hitched up their tent trailer and left for Honduras (5,600 miles away). They had 2 children, Adam & Niki, and were expecting their 3rd, Kristal (now 13, 11 & 6, respectively). Many years back he remembers sitting in a missionary service thinking, “Missionaries are just too weird. Well now he's weird and loving it." He pastored a church for 2 years & now is involved in training pastors & leaders for many different denominations. After 6 years, Honduras feels like home! They are happy and excited about what God is doing there. They would love to hear from anyone who would take the time to write. Letters mean a lot.
