Folks, how about updating profiles and let all know if you are planning on attend. We know who to expect.

Sorry I cannot say for sure if Tom and I will attend
the reunion. I would like to very much but our children
are planning our 50th anniversary and the final details are yet to be finalized. I will let everyone know as soon as possible.

First, I want to thank the person or persons responsible for setting up this website. It's very efficient and
easy to use.
I see on the reunion page that it is now planned to have an informal get together at Lewis Point on Saturday.
This is a change from the earlier plan of something at Vernon Downs in the evening. What prompted the change?

Floyd: You wanted to know why the reunion plans changed from a Vernon Downs event to Lewis Point.

I will take the blame, as much as anyone for the change, although all were asked to voice their preference and the idea of an afternoon bbq on Sat rather than a dinner Sat evening at Vernon Downs was the overall preference.

The primary motivator for me, and others too, I believe, was to have a more energetic gathering in the afternoon rather than an evening dinner, with many used to ending their evenings at 10 pm or so. In the afternoon, and with the atmosphere of a bbq, it is our belief, and hope, that more people will mingle with one another and socialize as opposed to gathering at a table in set groupings. We believe that those who still wish to, can go to Vernon Downs, or another destination later in the day to continue festivities.

That's the condensed version; there was considerable discussion about the pros and cons. Regards, Paul Sansoucy

My mother has become seriously ill and is in the Cape Coral Hospital, Florida. Therefore, it would be difficult for me to attend given the current situation. I was so looking forward to it. Therefore, best wishes everyone and have a great time reflecting on the past..they were fantastic years and the friendships continue with honor.

I am so sorry for the people who were unable to attend the reunion this past weekend. We had a great time getting to be with old friends again, finding out what we had all been doing for the past 50 years. We will keep this site open for at least one more year so that we can keep in touch with each other easily.

I just read the responses, and Darn, We werein NYC for a Civitan International Convention about that time. If I had know when it was I could have been there. My husband just found this site today. This is fun, I will be checking it often. Don is from Brooklyn and we hope to go back east again. I am a retired AT&T Marketing Manager. Volunteering is filling about 40 to 60 hours of my week. Tom, retirement is anything but boring in Lake Havasu. Come Visit. How many came to the reunion?

Just like you to know that my husband, Paul and I are going to Ireland and UK in May for a month. life long dream to visit the land of my roots (been to Spain and Portugal, but not to the rest of the continent. Also, met Bill Lesher and his wife, Pat, at my brother's house in Palm Springs, showed him the reunion book, and he remembers you all fondly. Hope to get my hair done at Ed Endeman's salon soon. Can't wait till the next reunion. Love, Mary Lewis Flotho

It's nice to read the messages from everyone. I am sorry we missed the 50th reunion but that was also our 50th wedding anniversary. I guess I am not the only one that has moved away from NY. We have lived in many places being as Bob was a Special Forces Green Beret for 22 1/2 years. We have still moved several times since he retired in 1981 but just made our finally move this year to Henderson, TN. We love it here even though this is our 3rd time to live in TN. We lived in Pigeon Forge and Dandridge previously. I am a two time cancer survivor and had 2 mastectomies but am doing fine now. We have 2 sons, 8 grands and 2 great-grands. We are still as madly in love or even more so than when we met in 1958; praise the Lord.

Carol

Update from Tennessee-we have 5 great grandchildren now. Bob and I are doing fine as long as we keep the meds flowing 🤣 . I am still in touch with my best friend Anita Wlock (Bartoszek). She lives in Ca. and sends me the most beautiful handmade cards. Sad to see so many from our class that have already passed on. I just pray each one had accepted Jesus as their Savior.
