Comments:

Lonnie and I were married and had two lovely little girls before I decided to go back to school I entered Millsaps as a freshman the fall semester of 1966 and oops I discovered I was once again pregnant in November I continued, knowing it would be difficult but also knowing I might not get the courage to start again, another little girl came in august, I began my sophmore year when the poor child was eleven days old. I graduated with honors and began teaching high school biology in the fall of 1970. I taught for ten years, I was discouraged as a teacher realizing the inequities in education. There was really no incentive except for personal ethics. I guess a brief way of explaining it is that the goof off ones made the same salary (pitiful as it was) as I did and the students of course liked being in their class a lot more. I have come to realize that some of my students who have become doctors, lawyers and indian chiefs(ha) have come back to thank me. I have since had a sucessful business life. My personal life has been spent living, loving, laughing, crying, working, and just making the best out of life. Trusting in the Lord and knowing there is a an overall plan for all of us, even if it is hard to accept the pain we experience in this mortal existance. I work hard everyday, enjoy my children and grandchildren and love my crazy husband very much.

School Story:

I must have slept through my high school years. I do not have a lot of great memories. I remember a lot of our teachers with fond memories. The funniest thing I can remember is Henry and Howard Lee being voted to the student Council. If I could do anything differently I would strive to have more friends,be a kinder person and appreciate the simple happy existance we all had.
