On August 15th, Ladora will have their “fun day.” There will be a motorcycle Poker Run, Car/Tractor Show, Dummy Board competition, Water Ball competition, and possibly a carnival too. Those activities could be posted and, if any one is interested, we could form teams for the dummy board and water ball competitions. We could possibly reserve an area for our class; maybe have a tent set up or something. I’d have to check, but I would bet that could be done. The Ladora Bank will be open as well for people to hang out. If you didn't know, the Bank was turned into a winery. We could go to Carnforth, if available, for supper. Then Ladora is having a street dance, with a beer tent, and fireworks.

LeAnn Bringmann (Meeks) There has been some interest for staying at a hotel, but this will increase our costs dramatically. We'll do some checking to see what is available and the associated costs. Most likely, we will be looking at the end of July or August time frame.

I am all for going to a hotel (that is my 1st choice) and either bringing snack food to share or having dinner somewhere. The costs could be contained if we know exactly what everyone is feeling. I like July 18th for a date because it is in the middle of the summer (and is open for me). I am up for whatever the class decides though.

Lets get some talking going here so we know what everyone is comfortable with. We don't want anyone to NOT go becasue they aren't comfortable with the plan. :)
