I graduated from The College of Charleston in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. In 1995, I married my college sweetheart, Chuck McCormick. I graduated again in 1997 with a second bachelor's degree in philosophy. I was filling out applications for graduate school when I discovered I was pregnant with my first child. Which of course changed everything! I quit working (as a research coordinator for the Emergency Department at the Medical University of South Carolina) when Kilbey was 3 and homeschooled him for 10 years. He now attends University School of the Lowcountry and is loving it.
We decided to expand our family in 2005 and took steps in that direction. Spencer came along in 2006. New baby Gordon arrived on January 14, 2009.
The children and I are Catholic (I converted in 2002) and are very active in our church, The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, here in Charleston. My husband is a software engineer and drummer (he wishes he could only do the latter!). You can find us at the beach, waterpark, aquarium, park or playing at a playground around Charleston.
