I got my BS in Biology from Va Tech, worked at First Union for 7 years after that (and had a kid!), became a programmer and moved to the DC area where I worked for 4 years at a patent and trademark software firm where eventually I started teaching classes on MS Access and patent/ trademark rules and basic law. Went from there to Congressional Quarterly where I now help clients analyze, find and follow federal legislation that affects their interests.
Hopefully soon I will be moving on to the Dept of Homeland Security's Office of the Inspector General as a legislative liaison/analyst.
School Story:
oh, too many that no one knew about...
Once was caught making out in the weight room with a girl from LBHS's track team - during the LBHS/WBHS track meet in 1986 - between our individual events.
Gosh - Mrs. Layman (the blonde lady behind the glass window by the soda machines, near the gym) always called me "Lips" after she saw me kissing a girl by the gym.
See a recurring pattern?
Mr. Sboray laughing when I deeply inhaled iodine fumes during a chemistry experiment and almost hit the floor then trying to stick my head out of the tiny window in the classroom trying to get air.
My "politcally incorrect" nickname Mark Falls and Marc Hartsel gave me.
French with Hot Rod.....(and the farting contests in the back of the room)
