Hey everybody! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone! It's so hard to believe that 20 years is just around the corner. See you in 2009!

Great job in putting this site together! Looking forward to the 20yr reunion!

I take offense to DeeDee's and Jenni's exchange - I still have the same haircut. Is this something I should tend to before the reunion?

Brian - I'd be happy to just have hair at this point - I became follically-challenged years ago...

Hope all is well w/ everyone and thanks to Dee Dee and team for establishing the site - great work.

Thank you, Dee Dee for setting this up! It's so fun to see how little we've all changed. Sure, we have a few more wrinkles, some gray hairs, or maybe even a few less hairs! But we're all the same, only wiser. Wouldn't you love to go back to high school for a day knowing what we know now?

It's also so great to see a common thread:"Life is good!" I see it in so many of our profiles. This is awesome!

Good to hear from everyone!

Chrissy - you forgot to add weight, along with wrinkles, and gray hairs. It looks like I ATE three children, not had three children! Oh well, I won't let that stop me from having a great time though!

Dee Dee and all,
You guys are doing such a fabulous job with this site. Keep up the great work! If there's anything I can do to help out with planning the big event, please give me a holler even though I'm way up in Boston.

cheers,
Susan

Dee Dee - Thanks for all the work you put into this awesome site. It's great to read about what people have been up to over the past 20 years!

I agree with Scott....especially since I haven't seen any of you since I moved in August of 1988....

To echo my classmates' sentiments....This website is fantastic! Thank you so much for the hard work. It's been so much fun to see what everyone has been doing all these years. Did I just say "all these years"?!...yikes, I feel old. I couldn't make the 10 year, so I'm really excited to catch up with everyone next year. Best wishes! ~Kristin

Hi Amy,

I actually sent Jen a message/email at classmates to register here, and as of late she has not read it, I will let you know when she does, and I will send her an additional one letting her know to contact you :) Diana

So who is this Phillip Bisek person that claims to have attended our school?
Sincerely,
a cheerleader

p.s. this is a joke -- check out Phillip's profile. ... which I love, by the way (thanks, Phillip!)

Phillip Bisek

Ah Ha... I knew I was right:) My theory was correct even after 20 years:) Thanks Dee Dee:)

No really, I wish I had the self esteem that I have now, so I could have gotten to know them better as friends. Hey, and maybe even have been invited to some better parties. But hey, that’s High School:)

Gosh, that sounds really sappy, kind of reminds me of Sixteen Candles, oh well Big Smiles:) Take Care…

The most awsome thing about being an adult (aggghhh ...run away ...the evil "a" word) is realizing that in one way or another everyone pretty much went through the same thing... perspective ( and having it ) is excellent. *smiles* heather

08/19/08 09:09 AM #31

Jamie Sanders

Oh yes...being an adult...I can defintely relate Heather...in fact, just the other day, we were in the parking lot of an amusement park and my 8 an 7 year old daughters were talking to each other...the 8 year old says, "now it's time for some boy action" and I look over and she's putting on lip gloss.

I'm not ready for this... :)

Hi All,

I was only at Kempsville for senior year so you probably don't remember me...... Living in Australia so unsure if I'll get to the reunion, but will definitely be trying! Thanks for this website.... it's great to see some names from the past. Can't believe it's 20 years! Anyone remembers me, send me an email so we can catch up :)

I was saddened to see that Ross Friedman passed away back in 1994. I had no idea until that information was posted. Can anyone share what may have happened? You can send the response directly to me if you don't want to post it on the forum.

Thanks,
Jamie Sanders

I would like to mention that Philip and I dated for approximately 24 hours. You know how serious that was, Philip, don't deny it, lol......

Good to see you all!!!!!!!

Elisa Ruopoli (Ruopoli)

Gotta say ... is everyone freakin' married ... geez, I feel like such a loser! lol Seriously, I was married at our first reunion and no one else was ... had a crappy time cuz of his possessiveness and was forced to sit at a table all night long so I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone and TRULY getting to catch up!! Do ya reckon I can find a date between now and then!?! Hmmm ... let me re-think that ... will probably have a better time without!! Gonna be a blast!!

09/07/08 10:16 PM #36

DeeDee Paragas (Lott)

Elisa, I think the reunion would be more fun without a date. Trying to pull spouses/dates into our remember-when conversations will be tough. If anyone has ideas, we are interested in ideas for activities to keep non-classmates from getting bored. Whatever the you decide, Elise, don't feel bad -- I feel like the loser with no kids.

09/08/08 09:08 AM #37

Diane Kelly (Slawson)

Along those lines, Dee-Dee, my best friend is planning the FC class of 89 reunion and they are considering a classmates only event. This way the husbands/wives/others don't have to deal with all this stuff. Just throwing out ideas other people are doing.

It's funny how we look at what others have and think what a "loser" we are because we don't have what they do. I have a husband and 4 kids and stay at home. I look to those who are working with or without kids or husbands and think what a loser I am because I stay home. The grass is always greener.....
Take care
Diane

"Gotta say ... is everyone freakin' married ... geez, I feel like such a loser!"

Hey, have you heard? Being single and childfree is the new happy. :-) Seriously, I'd welcome marriage but I'm not pining for it. I'm a real Winner anyway...got the birth certificate, ID's, and passport to prove it. :-P
