Reunion FAQs

Q: Should we expect to get paper invitations in the mail?

A: Nope--we're going green! Plus, it's just not necessary; you managed to get this far, so a few more clicks and you can register and purchase your tickets.

Q: Why do ticket prices increase as we get closer to the event?

A: We've structured our prices this way so that those who commit and purchase their tickets early get a price break. As you can imagine, there are a number of start-up costs required to produce an event this size, so this helps us recoup those costs and reduce our risk of ending up with a big, fat bill. Plus, we don't want you to wait until the last minute to buy your tickets. ;-)

Q: What do the tickets pay for?

A: The tickets pay for the site fees, food, beverages, taxes & gratuities, Security, D.J., administrative costs (PayPal fees, website and domain charges, name badges and wrist bands), photographer, decorations, and other incidentals. With all of that, our initial prices are VERY reasonable. This intent is NOT to make a profit.  The goal is to channel all the revenue into the event.

Q: Will there be a time in the evening when it's okay to come to the reunion without a ticket?

A: You mean, is there a time when it will be okay for you to crash? Sorry, no. Simply put, it's just not fair to those who've plunked down the money to come. Plus, there's a limit to the number of people we can have in our ballroom, so this helps us manage the mayhem. The hotel also requires us to have Security, and those big fellahs will be checking for name badges and wrist bands as people move in and out of the ballroom. If you still feel uneasy about parting with your Andrew Jacksons, then you can always make separate arrangements to meet up with classmates at another place and time during the weekend.

Q: I'd like to come, but the ticket prices are still too steep for me to pay in one lump sum--are there other payment options?

A: Hey, we get it--things are tight these days and we certainly understand. So, sure--if you want to structure some staggered payments over the next few months, we can work something out. Just contact us and we'll take things offline.

Q: Will we be able to purchase tickets that evening at the door?

A: Our venue requires a full headcount and payment from the reunion committee several days before the event, so we won't be set up to sell tickets that evening at the door--sorry.

Q: Are kids allowed to come?

A: All children are wonderful, but we will be serving alcohol at this event, so grownups only, please. But, hey--feel free to bring some photos!

Q: I noticed there's a 2-ticket maximum per person--why?

A: As we mentioned earlier, there's a cap on the number of people we can have at our venue. Having said that, we feel confident that every Class of '90 alumn who wants to come and bring a guest will be able to, so we want to be fair and give everyone a chance to purchase their fair share of tickets.

Q: Will people from other graduating classes or schools be allowed to come if they want?

A:  We're flattered that other people want to come to our party! But, as mentioned previously there's a cap for the number of people we can have at our venue, so first dibs go to Class of '90 alumn and their guests. HOWEVER--if, as we approach the final weeks leading up to the event and discover we have wiggle room, then sure! We can explore opening up ticket sales to other interested parties. We'll let everyone know if and when that becomes a possibility.

Q: What's the appropriate attire for this event?

A: Just think of it as "California Cocktail" attire--in other words, you don't need to go all out in a stuffy suit with tie, or a semi-formal with pantyhose, but you probably want to get at least a little gussied up. The weather in V-town should be perfect, so something comfortable and nice should work.

Q: Are there discounted hotel room rates for people who attend and want to stay overnight at the Holiday Inn?

A: Yes! Just simply call the Visalia Holiday Inn and request a room from the "Redwood HS class of 1990 Reunion" block. The discounted rate is $89 per night - call (559) 651-5000.
