Patty died January 12, 2000.  She was Carl's cousin and a friend to me.  It was a sad time.

Patty and I were in P.E. together and had a lot of fun.  She had a kind heart and great smile.

Great friend and 7th grade sweetie pie, Patty was one of the smartest, best hearted people I've known.  The world is a sadder place without her.

Here is a totally random memory of Patty:  I was in awe of her clothes!  I sat behind her in one of our classes and every day she had on another cute outfit.  She was my first fashion idol.  :-)

I loved Patty Jackson ... we did not go to the same elementary schools but knew her at the pool at Ridgewood & then were at Lake Air Jr. High & Richfield High School together. We cheered together in 9th grade at Lake Air. We spent the night together from time to time & were good friends. After graduating from Richfield, we went to different colleges but would reconnect with our group of girlfriends in the summer ... again at the Country Club. All through high school & the summers we all skiied on the lake all of the time. We just basically had a great group of girlfriends who did things together all of the time.

Many years later after we had married & had children, she had a son Jake who was the same age as my youngest son, Cameron. Lo & behold, Jake & Cameron ended up in the same cabin at Camp Longhorn. We lived in Arlington & Patty's family was in Waco. The boys visited each other in their respective homes a couple of times and Patty called one day and said they were coming to Arlington. They were taking Jake to Wet & Wild and asked if Cameron wanted to go! I asked her how soon they were going to get here because Cameron would have his suit on in 5 minutes! We met at Wet & Wild & it was so good to see Patty & Jeff ... Jake & Cameron headed off for the gate & had a great day!

Unfortunately, Patty had a most distressing illness that apparently the Drs. knew very little about in that day. She suffered for lots of years but was not able to live normally & died at 50 years old. I still remember her smile & her sweetness. I know you are living in a much more peaceful place with your Mom & Dad. I will always love you Patty & remember the fun times we had!! Love, Barbara Browder

Patty was a great gal and friend.  I asked her to go the Senior Prom on the first day of school our senior year and she said yes.  As the year went along we dated other people and she asked if I wanted to rescend my request.  I told her no, but if she was having second thoughts, I would understand.  We went to the Prom and had a wonderful time.  As I remember, (50 yers does play tricks on ones mind) after the Prom we joined several other couples on someones farm for a campfire and telling stories about our time at Richfield.  It was great evening spent with a wonderful date.  One I will always remember and cherish.
