What Have You Been Up To Since 1990?
I recently retired from the USAF for with 26 years. I settled down in the Windermere, FL area 20 minutes from Disney. I am now a high school teacher teaching AFJROTC.
Below is a quick rundown of my assignments:
Graduated USAFA 1 Jun 1994
ICBM Operator, Instructor, Evaluator
Cape Canaveral Launch Officer, including one mission as ground crew for Space Shuttle STS-93
Flight Commander in charge of 13 instructors
Chief of ICBM Safety for the entire US ICBM force
Deployed to Afghanistan for 5 months working directly with General Bismullah-Khan
Flight Commander in charge of 43 officers, enlisted, and civil servants
Commander of the Votkinsk Portal Monitoring Facility in Votkinsk Russia through the end of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty
Oversaw US compliance with and implementation of $25M/yr Open Skies Treaty with 34 partner countries. Worked in Pentagon and Eisenhower Executive Office building next to White House.
Wrote Air Force Nuclear Safety Policy for the Secretary of Defense
Commanded an Air Force ROTC detachment at UMass-Lowell. Department Chair at UMass-Lowell.
