yes um.... The road Valley View school was on... He had them all over the trees. He even made time to carve a really nice message to the people who defaced them saying he didn't appreciate it because he did it for the children to enjoy. It was pretty neat actually

Ok Betsy..I have to ask, what's the weather like down there today?

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

It's ugly, downcast, and raining....actually I'm lying It's BEAUTIFUL here today..... LIke in the high 70's or something. WE just went and pulled up all our plants in the garden. 1/2 acre worth...I'm whipped

Not fair! It's a typical fall crappy day here! Probably high 50's low 60's & cloudy. We gave up on our tomatoes (the only thing we can get to grow) a while ago. We'd love to have a big garden like that but we have way too many trees in our yard.

It's so much work, but worth it, because I LOVE to can stuff. I'm the canning queen. I think I put up about 70 quarts of tomatos and about 20 of tomato and Okra for soup. I also made some yummy apple butter from apples we got in the mountains on our way back from pigeon forge. Not to mention the corn, the melons, the peppers. etc. our garden produced.

I hear you... Bobby and I NEVER go out! By the time evening comes...we are too darn tired! I invited you to come down when you went to the NASCAR race, but you never called to tell me you were close, otherwise I would have sent you a bunch of tasty stuff back with you. Maybe next time!

I didn't have your number. Plus, we were on limited time while we were down there...just had the weekend. That's been our only vacations since we've been together! We've gone to 2 NASCAR races & that's it! We are WAY overdue for a real vaca!!!

Carrie no need to blush. That's why I always used to come over to your house. Guess that's why you didn't know.
Elizabeth he pasted along time ago. I don't remember when, but it's been along time. Yep he did put a lot of work into them. It used to make me mad as well when people would take them or break them.

MMMMM BW3's I love that place. Good thing about having older kids you can leave them at home. The wife and I bowl with George Steele and his wife in Norton every Sat.
night. I know it's not great, but it something to do and we have fun. By the way Mr. Steele is a professional bowler. He hasn't made any money yet, he's working on it.
Elizabeth you remember George don't you? I remember a night at Valley View School. :o)

Bowling is fun, I enjoy it! I suck at it but I enjoy it!!Does George still live in the house he grew up in on the corner of Euclid Ave & West St.? I thought I saw him out at that house recently.

Carrie then you don't remember going out and killing brain cell together. Didn't happen a lot, but a few times. There where of us me you, Rob, and I can't remember the other it was a friend of yours.
My memory is shot. Past few days things have been coming back to me. Hell I still can't believe I went to school with all these people that I can't remember. How is that possible???

10/04/08 03:53 PM #243

Carrie Miller

Uhhh, nope! I feel like such a jerk!! How do I not remember these things happening?? Was it after we graduated or were we still in school?

10/04/08 03:53 PM #244

Shane Hines

Yes he does. He bought it off his dad. I think it's been about 2 years now.

10/04/08 03:54 PM #245

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

Shut up Shane. :) LMAO

10/04/08 04:01 PM #246

Shane Hines

The hanging out at your place durning school and alittle after. By then I was with my wife, but the killing brain cells was after school. I think 94ish. I just happened to be with Rob Mosher the few times. I think we liked your friend was the reason we was even all together.
Think she lived by memorial park.
Don't feel bad for not remembering.
