similar story to Elizabeth's--family member (mom in law) worked for General Tire, that brought them here, and my husband and I would visit them on break from college...LOVED it here. Nothing like heading down south in March, peeling off layers with each successive state lol...the MINUTE he finished law school, we moved here. hope to hell I never have to go back...I'm a total wimp about the cold now.

Shane Hines Well Elizabeth where your ears burning? Fact is he doesn't hate you or think bad of you. So see nothing to worry about. I don't know about going South East. The Rockey Mountains keep calling me back. I didn't know how much I loved Colorado till I moved back here.

Laura L Miller (Cogbill) Shane what IS it about Colorado? I've met four or five people since I've moved here who are from Colorado and EVERY SINGLE ONE is DYING to go back. I don't get it! I've never been, but I'm so curious now...most people who live here love it, but everyone from Colorado is just itching to be there again...

Laura one you just have to see it to really understand.
The weather is great almost no humidity. So the hot isn't that sticky hot. So it doesn't feel as hot. The cold is the same way it's dry cold. If you go south I don't think they get as much snow. You know how in Ohio winter brings those grey clouds for winter and you never see the sun. Well there it's only cloudy when it snows. Other than that bright and I mean bright blue sky year round. Most of the time when I was there it would snow over night and be gone by noon.

We lived in Colorado Springs when I was in the Army and
while I was there I really didn't like living there.
I guess it's kinda like the south the people are pretty nice. I'll have to dig up some pics and put on myspace.
I'll let you know when I do.

spoken like a true hunter's wife (the grizzly bears lol)...because all I can think is: real outdoor activity...ugh! bears...ugh! SNOW..ugh! I'm a little...high maintenance?...want some sun. a bar I can lazily swim to. throw in massage and I'm a happy happy woman...of course, I get this so often (read: almost never) but I can't say Colorado and I are a good fit...still dying to check it out though it sounds like magic! and I'm sure they have massages and tasty drinks and the occasional warm day as well ;)

Laura L Miller (Cogbill) Shane the one thing I can say about it for sure: BEAUTIFUL. the pics I've seen are STUNNING and I'm a sucker for the mtns. The way you describe the weather DOES sound wonderful. that's it. I'm just going to have to come and check it out :)

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe) My dad used to live in Montana...same kind of thing. Hey Shane... I used to have a realy good friend who was from colorado Springs. She missed it so much.... I miss her....she lived in the U.P. of Michigan. (still does) and when I moved there to live with my dad in 9th and 10th she was my first friend..... she wants to move back there too.

Mandy McNamara- seeing that it has been revealed that you had your pick of the proverbial liter, who were you crushing on, and Lori- besides Glenn, who did you have the hots for. I remember getting a car load together to go to the drive in, and loading Tony Detweiler, Aaaron Detwieler, and I'm not sure who else into the trunk.... I hit bumps on purpose too! LOL Carrie, did you go with us that night?

Carrie Miller Shane, I have to say I had no idea!!(I'm blushing!)I always seemed to go out w/ someone that was one of your friends though..how weird! OMG! Has anyone seen John Carmany lately? I saw him at a b-day party at the Eagles back in March '07 & he was quite large! Still looked & acted the same though.At that time he lived in Rittman & had a daughter.

Carrie Miller Betsy--I never went to the drive-in w/ you...sorry to say! Sounded like it would've been a blast! Photon!!!OMG, I went there w/ my sister almost every Saturday night. I thought I was so cool 'cause I was at a "dance club"! There'd always be couples making out in the little "nooks", sad to say, I was never one of them!

sorry to call you out like that shane:).... I do remember Chris Glenn.... I cheerleaded with her for like five years. I went to her house A LOT to make the signs for the football players to run through. Oh what ever happened to the guy who used to make those Disney things on the trees. I used to get SO angry when people would deface or damage them... he used to put so much work into them.
