You know Laura, you were every parents dream! I know when I think of my own kids, I would much prefer to have one just the way you were. Nice to everyone, kind, studious, etc...... As opossed to my open rebellion. Don't get too upset! I was always envious of you as well... wishing I would have gotten better grades to graduate with honors etc.

Same here Betsy!! I would've much rather of gotten better grades than be rebellious! Unfortunately, I did neither!! I just kind of "drifted" along in school convincing myself that as long as I did well enough to graduate I'd be fine. Well, you know what they say about "hindsight"!!

the other side always looks better! I'm glad my choices took me to where I ended up meeting my husband and best friend...but I'm all about LIVING right now, getting to know people, making memories, trying something unforgettable...can't help but wish I had started a little earlier :) especially as y'all sound so wonderful. I know I would have had a great time with you

I hear ya Laura. My life is better than it ever has been right now. The best decision I ever made was to marry Dennis and we have SO much fun! Who knows maybe someday we will have/adopt some babies and add to the mix.

I have always been about living every day, but the difference is now I am not so much of an ass (although I act like one sometimes)-I am a lot nicer as a person AND I don't take anything too seriously.

I'm here Carrie.... In between washing clothes, and feeding susanna, and working

I was waiting breathlessly for someone other than our usual crew to post...but no luck! I know I suffered without my daily fix.

I know these things are quite addictive. Isn't it yucky out there today Laura? Rainy wet and kind of chilly. What's the weather like up north Carrie>?

10/08/08 01:36 PM #306

Laura L Miller (Cogbill)

oh god no lol..we have started talking about the weather! yeah it's a crappy gray day, very ohio-like. I still can't believe we are doing Halloween in Toledo. It's been years since we had to worry about whether the kids might need to wear coats over their costumes...I remember people freezing their asses off where i grew up in Michigan--30 degrees, and there was always some girl dressed up like a belly dancer

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

That is so funny that you say that, because when I lived in Upper Michigan, I went to a halloween party, and dressed like a genie. It was I swear thirty below. My belly started to turn blue. LOL

It's pretty crappy up here for us yankees too. It sucks! I'm totally not ready for the cold & snow...did we even have a summer?

I'm totally dreading my drive to work when it's winter also. My commute is on a main road (Route 57 to Orrville)& the street crews hardly do anything to clear it off. Last year while I was pregnant & I was on my way to work one stretch of route 57 was a complete sheet of ice!! Not as if driving while pregnant makes you worry enough!!

Hello All! First off - hats off to Mandy for taking on the reunion and putting this site together! And my thanks to CJ for the "heads-up" on all of it! It's great to see where everyone has landed - seems life's been good to everyone! It's amazing how many people are still local, yet I never see anyone (but I guess I'd have to actually get out of the house, huh??). Well, for anyone reading this - I hope all is well with everyone! This is a great stroll down memory lane - brings back a lot of memories... some good times and lots of great people (well, most of 'em ;-). I'd love to catch up and reminisce with everyone! In the meantime, take care!

I was thinking the same thing as Kebra about not seeing anyone. I would think that w/ as many people that say they're still in Wadsworth that I'd see some of them out & about (especially @ WalMart..I always see someone I know when I go there!)But, like Kebra said, I won't see anyone unless I can get out of the house!! I'm such a homebody nowadays!!

Hey Kebra, how have you been? I remember when I came back home for the first time seeing you at the bar! We had a great time (I think, I was pretty happy that night). Remembering you brought a smile to my face :)

Kebra Wilson (Hahn)

LMAO - I've been backtracking and reading through everything... this message board is a trip! I see there are some regulars on here too.
CARRIE - We could secretly plan an organized trip to Walmart and "accidentally" bump into one another in the frozen food section so we're not such losers and can say we see people too... on the other hand - which would actually be more pathetic?? LOL.
BETSY - I've been doing fine, thanks. How about you? Sounds like you're doing well for yourself. I faintly remember nights at the bars... I know I was there long enough and dropped enough cash to always be happy too - but the details are mostly a blur. I think I lost about 4 years of my memory and a small fortune anywhere in Northeast Ohio that sold liquor. Ahhh, the good 'ol days - lol!
AMANDA BROOKS - OMG!!! Giggling to myself even now just thinking of you and remembering that retchid Mrs. Gandee and the arguments and gum and hideous blind dates, and on and on and on - just thinking back at all the laughs you provided is great! Thanks for the memories!
JASON MARTINSON - So sorry to hear about your dad. We're struggling through cancer with my dad too, so I can relate. Good to hear you've found a positive at the end of all of it though... it's a great thing you're doing! On a lighter side, I have to say you were great at making me laugh too! I remember one specific indident where you made me spit chocolate milk all over myself and the table, so I made you give me the t-shirt you were wearing... it was a nice shirt, so I refused to give it back, and in fact - I wore it out and only relinquished it about a year or two ago! (I also remember your "Like A Virgin" rendition - but I'll keep those details to myself for your sake - LMAO)!!!!

It's great seeing everyone on here - I hope a bunch of the MIA's get the news and take the time to update on here, there's still a lot of people I'd like to catch up with - I'll definitely let anyone I see know about it (Yeah right, like that's gonna happen)! But I'd love to catch up with everyone, so anyone please feel free to email me anytime - I'm sure a lot of others out there have a better memory than me and could remind me of stories long forgotten! Plus - it's great to think back about what asses we all were and be able to laugh about it!
