The sad thing Shane, is that I understood that Military Jargon! Hear it all the time. When I worked at the hospital and would do my charting, you have to use military time instead of regular. Combine that with my husband. Lethal combination. Hey Troy, how have you been?

Carrie Miller

Hey Troy!! Glad to hear from you & that you're doing good!! I heard you went in the Navy but never heard anything else.
How's your family? I saw your brother Tom @ the Galaxy a couple years ago...he looked the same just bigger! LOL. Well, take care & be safe!!

Hey Betsy, how come lately when you post something it shows up more than once? Weird.

First what was I saying? I was thinking one word and typing another. I killed that last post.

I bet it is. When working I work with an Ex. Jarhead
well go back at each other all day long and people just
understand a lot of what we say.
ex. Like so and so is a lima, lima, mike, foxtrot!
There is a lot more, but they get pretty bad which I'm sure you know.

I understand the whole part about people looking at you funny for using Military terms, I even get it at work. Things here are laid back so sometimes you have to be specific as to which terms you are using.
I'm doing great, I bought a house, that i seem to always be working on, renting was so much easier, I am building a couple of trucks, one is 90% done and the other one I am just starting. I love my job, the places i have gone and the thing I have done are crazy, I never thought I would be where I am.

Carrie I think what is happening is the site is running
slow for some reason, and she is clicking the her mouse to many times. Which will cause one than one post.

Troy you make me so proud!! I can't believe your the one that's making a career out of the military and not me.
Well they didn't give me much of an option I guess.

I'm glad to hear it's not just my computer that's being slow. I can't stand when computers run slow..I have no patience for stuff like that!!

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

Yes, Carrie, that's exactly what's happening. (I'm about ready to throw my computer out the window)

Whatever...this website is annoying.

KEBRA! LMFAO@ Jason's Madonna Tour in his bedroom with his "Holiday" outfit--good times. Anyway, great to see you here! I remember you being able to deliver complete sarcasm with a totally deadpan face. This is a talent I have not been able to master in all of my 33 years. Are you going to the reunion? I am pissed that so many people I went to school with live so close yet we've never gotten together, even if it's just to reminisce.

I work in Stow and live in Ravenna/Rootstown-and am in Wadsworth frequently to visit my brother and his family, so terrorization of Wadstucky can always be penciled in as long as I'm not traveling!

Shane- Trust me when I say I can't believe it either. I didn't see myself staying in to long, but here I am at 11yrs only 9 more and I will be Retired. WOW I thought the sound of a 15yr class reunion mad me sound old, but the retirement word makes it sound worse.
Carrie- The Familey is doing good now, Dad has been fighting cancer for alittle over a year, and seems to have beat it so far. I don't think you would not reconize him, he only weighs about 120lbs now, but is doing good. my brother and his wife are about to have their 4th kid, and my sisters are both still the same.
Is this site always this slow? this is kinda annoying, but I will suffer with it, If it gives me a chance to talk to OLD friends.

I hate cancer! My dad passed away from pancreatic cancer three years ago. Kebra and Troy, sorry to hear that your parents are having to deal with it.

Betsy, How's it goin girly? I just found this site today. I was just reading all the posts. I know we have a lot of OLD memories, but I'll be damned if I can remember. Shoot me an e-mail though. Please don't post. haaa! I can't imagine what you'd have to tell me. Holy crap!

Hi to all again!

BETSY - Thanks for the sympathies... we've gone through prostate cancer, and now surgery and chemo for the third round of bladder cancer - it's a struggle, but he's doing pretty well so far. It seems so many can relate - cancer is everywhere you turn anymore.
AMANDA - It would be great to get together sometime - our schedules are always crazy, but it would be a blast. I must warn you though, my sarcasm issue really hasn't improved much since HS ;-) I always enjoyed your banter in class - so together we would probably make for a good time!
TROY - Howdy! It's been a long time... the last time I ran into you we were "inebriating" at the Legion - you were making obscene hand gestures and I confessed my crush on your truck - lol. Glad to see you're still doing well!

Til next time... take care all!

LESLIE!!!! It's awesome to hear from you! We do have a bunch of memories that are absolutely not fit for this forum! How ya been?

10/09/08 05:56 PM #338

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

Gaw Leslie, your still so beautiful :) Always have been :)

10/09/08 08:26 PM #339

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

ok, I have to do it Les! My very first memory of hanging out with you, you taught me how to smoke. Looking back now I bet it was funny on your part because you actually had to teach me how to inhale, and show me like 100 times. I finally caught on though. I also remember how graceful a ballerina you were.

Laura L Miller (Cogbill)

Kebra--I used to live next door to the greatest guy in the world--his last name was Hahn...just wondering if he is part of your husband's family--his name was Ron (married to Gladys) lived on Trease Rd...kills me that he passed away.

Elizabeth I'm headed to CP mall tomo a.m...any chance you will be out that way?

10/09/08 09:23 PM #341

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

I'm not, my mom and i are going to lunch! What day are you available next week? Let's go ahead and make plans now...Oh, could you message me on myspace and give me your phone number again. I accidently deleted it.... :) Have fun shopping (my favorite thing to do!)

10/10/08 10:01 AM #342

Seems like the website is a little faster today...yea!!

10/10/08 10:06 AM #343

Carrie Miller

Troy--sorry to hear about your dad...cancer has affected my family also, many times over (even my dad). It's hard to imagine your dad being that small...it's terrible what cancer can do to a person.
Anyways, I was thinking the other day about that green van you used to have!! I always knew when you were coming down the road w/ that ticking sound it used to make! Haha!Still makes me laugh :)
I also remember being at your house for a going away party or something & we were baja(ing) thru the field behind Rick Owen's house, that was a crazy, fun time!!

Leslie Riggs (Owens)

Awww shucks Betsy, tee-hee. Thank you ;o) You're so sweet. I feel more like an old hag though at the ripe old age of 34! hahaha! I couldn't see you very well in the pic you have posted...need more of a close up.

I taught you to smoke huh?! haaaaaaaaa! Nice! Gee, not something I'm very proud of. I should apologize right now! I hope you've kicked the habit. I know I haven't though. I quit cold turkey when I found out I was pregnant with my son and all during my pregnancy I told myself that I would have to be some kind of idiot to pick it back up after quiting for 9 months.....well, I guess I'm some kind of idiot! haaaaaa! I probably got stressed out or something one day and lit one up and it was all down hill from there.

Hugs to you Betsy :o)

Kebra-it's on! I am always down for a sarcasmafest!

Thank God this site is faster...I felt like I was waiting for Jason to turn straight! Where has Jason gone, anyway?

P.S. Leslie I agree that you look really pretty in your profile pics, even though I don't remember you much from HS, hi and how are ya?!

10/10/08 12:28 PM #346

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

LMAO at Jason going Straight! I don't remember a time when he didn't know that he was gay! honestly I can't remember. I think he came out in like 2nd gradem which is very cool for him because he didn't have to pretend that he wasen't. Anyway.... where is he?

Leslie, I haven't kicked it either. Oh well, it was fun learining with you though.... I could post all kinds of memories of our crazy antics... Hugs to you too! Your baby is beautiful!!!!!!

Betsy--you'll be happy to know that YOU'RE the one that taught ME to smoke when I was 19!! LOL!! I've started & quit about 10 times since then! I don't do it very often though..1 or 2 here & there...it's worse when I have a few drinks.
