Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

Carrie, I had no idea that I taught you that! OMG. LOL Naw Amanda, I didn't teach her crack like you, I just taught her how to smoke the wacky tobaccy! LOL

LMAO - literally - "waiting on Jason to turn straight" - there's the Amanda I know and love!!!! What a trip! We really do need to get together when you're in town!!

LESLIE - you still look amazing!!! Like Betsy said, you've always been beautiful - but I hardly recognized you... it HAS to be the hair!! You're all grown up (yeah, smart comment from the short one, 'eh?). LOL @ your comments about the hair and leather coats (since you mentioned it I remember you ALWAYS wearing the short black leather coat with fringe)! Isn't it crazy the things we used to think were cool - I look back and laugh at myself all the time! Glad to see you're doing well!

Leslie gets a free pass from me - my first smokes were with Lynette Bradley in her garage, followed by Chris Glenn... like Leslie, I quit while pregnanat - for some reason I started again (I'm such a moron) and now struggling to quit.

P.S. LAURA - yeah, Ron and Gladys are my husbands aunt and uncle - they lived/live on Trease. His passing was sad (another cancer, of course). Ron was a good guy - quite the character! Small world, huh! Atleast you didn't ask if he was related to Jason - he gets that anytime I've introduced him to someone from Wadsworth. THANK GOD the answer is NO!!!!

Laura L Miller (Cogbill)

Kebra--Ron WAS a character lol! He and my dad had the best time for years trading jokes and pranks back and forth. He was one of those larger-than-life people...just seems impossible that he isn't still alive somewhere, giving someone a good-natured hard time. I used to tan in his yard, go to all his bbq's...wonder if I ever met your husband?

Carrie- That's funny that you rember the old green van, I was sitting in traffic with one of my friends the other day and seen one that looked just like it, and I started laughing, and told him that I used to have one that looked and sounded the exact same. Thats to funny. I have gotten away from cars and trucks that I have to work on, now I do it for a hobby, and that is even starting to slow down. Don't have the time anymore.

Carrie- was it my going away party, when I was leaving for the navy? is that the night that donavan rolled his truck in the field?

OMG you guys (that is me with the acronym sounding all cool and whatnot...). I have changed my pants twice while reading all these posts! You make me laugh so hard.!! I will post more in an hour or so -- Ben is demanding some time...as only a two year old could....

Laura - that sounds just like Ron! He was always pulling jokes on someone. My brother used to bowl with Ron too. I always knew him by his nickname "money man" since that's what all the guys and the rest of my family called him. Surprisingly, I knew the majority of his (my husband's) family, was friends with several of his friends or people he went to school with and his neighbor, yet ironically I never met him in any of those social circles. When we started dating it was like everything fell into place because I already knew everyone (except for his extended family... it's too big to remember everyone). It is possible you have met him before - he has told stories about all the holidays, bbq's and card games that went on. I got an email asking for pics of the family, so I have been trying to get pictures up for a couple days, but this website keeps telling me it's temporarily unavailable. If I ever get them up check them out and see if you recognize him. However, he has changed a lot since the high school years (a total change in features from boy to manhood - kind of comical).

LOL.. Ok Kebra -- I was with Jason when he was here in Indy about 9 months ago and saw his "Like a Virgin" rendition redone and updated....Holy Crap it was AWESOME!! I remember it from HS, but to be done again in a bar in our thirties was PRICELESS!!! YOu should have seen the looks on peoples faces!!! HE actually paid the DJ a large amount and did Tequila shots with him to get it done. That boy is pure fun!!

Troy--I thought it was Tom's going away party 'cause I was surprised to hear you were going in also. I remember jumping on Rick's trampoline w/ Angie & had to stop 'cause I consumed too many beverages!lol! I remember Jill Raw & Dana Grimley being there...(if that helps!)I don't remember anyone flipping their truck..but if you read thru these posts you will find there's not much I do remember from back in the day! It had to have been in like 1997 'cause I wasn't pregnant w/ my daughter yet.

**Do you know who Dan Ratta is??? He's my daughters father (just an f.y.i.)I thought you knew him.

Amanda---I remember being at your house one night & we were in your room & outta nowhere you busted out the crack pipe & said "It's ok..just try it, all the cool people do it!" But I resisted the temptation...even thru your persistance! I'm still proud of myself for being able to say "no" to that evil, wicked drug you thought was soooo cool! You should be ashamed!!!

p.s. hope you have quit the habit!!!!

10/11/08 09:32 AM #363

Betsy---Sorry to say you did teach me to smoke cigs! I think it was in your Monte!! (ahhh, the Monte!!)I did hack a couple times but then started inhaling like a pro! Gee, I was so proud of myself!! hahaha!! You weren't the one that taught me the "wacky tobacky" that was Joe (not the one i'm w/ now)back in like 1994...I think that was the best year of my life so far! (aside f/ my kids being born,of course!)

10/11/08 09:37 AM #364

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

10/11/08 09:41 AM #365

Carrie Miller

Kebra---Do you remember us hanging out at Brent McGarry's parents house? It was probably in like 1996. We hung out in his basement & had some drinks. You were w/ your now husband.

Amanda - Thank you! To be honest, I hardly recognized you from your pics, but I definitely remembered your name. The site is really fun. Thanks!

Betsy - Thank you for Jack's compliment. He favors his daddy I think, but I'm definitely in there, the eyes I believe.

Kebra - Thank you!! You're so sweet to say that. That's the exact UGLY jacket I was talking about. Holy Moly! But, I was sooo cool right?...WRONG! hahaha! OMG! I can't believe how easy it was to fall back into the cigarette trap after pregnancy. Wicked drug, tabacco.

Hi Troy ;o)

This is a lot of fun. I really enjoy reading all the posts. Too funny. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Are you having a good weekend Les? We are getting ready for my son's birthday party tody... I can't believe he's nine already!
Carrie, I am truly sorry for teaching you how to smoke, but I kind of do remember you hacking and gagging. I think I thought it was amusing!
Laura- Have you seen a WII anywhere? I really want to get one, but darn if I can find one....

10/11/08 10:03 AM #368

Carrie Miller

That's ok Bets! It was bound to happen anyways w/ the crowd I was hanging w/!! Do you remember when I was seeing Corey???? That was such an awful time!!

10/11/08 10:06 AM #369

Carrie Miller

I can't believe Lee is 9 either!! I can remember when you told me you had a son! Doesn't seem like it was that long ago. I can also remember when you told me you had Susanna...I was at work & you got ahold of me there. I was surprised to hear you had another child!
Heck, I can't believe my daughter is 10 already!!! Of course she thinks she's 20!!

10/11/08 10:22 AM #370

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

Holy Moly, Carrie, I can't believe Kassidy is 10 either. I think you cloned her. I haven't seen a picture of her in so long (hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge), but she looks just like you , and Linda. Oh yes I remember the Cory days... I told you not to get involved with him... he was fun to party with though! I really want to see your boy!

Leslie- the cheeks on your boy! He looks like he's storing food for the winter. I would love to get a hold of them!!! I bet you kiss em all the time... He's adorable, and I still love the unity candle picture of you at your wedding. It's stunning!
