Lori Barauskas

I am sooo excited for the reunion and I hope that others will come around and show up. Remember Junior Banquet??? An incredible night for all of us where we really came together as a class and as friends. And many thanks to Mandy for orchestrating the reunion in November. I hope to see everyone there. The last 15 years has been interesting to say the least for me and I expect others will have some great stories too. It is one night to meet up with old friends. How fortunate are we to be in touch with people after so many years? See you there!

Lori my memory of you in high school: ALWAYS smiling lol...loving your enthusiasm still--making ME smile today

What? A Junior Banquet?? Why don't I remember that?
Boy I guess I really did keep to myself back then.

Don't worry Shane, you're not alone! I kept to myself too back then.I'm sure that half the people in our class don't even remember me!! I do remember the Junior Banquet though.

Kristina Tina Sutton (Toman)

Carrie- well, I remember you had beautiful hair! So did Lori! And I remember you as being nice... that's always a good impression to leave on people. And, after being reminded from the home page, I remember that Shane and I share a b-day. I found a Sr Will from our class! Interesting to read! Reminds me of all the cliques... Jr Banquet seemed to disolve them (for that night at least). Speaking of, I don't even know what clique I was in. I always just wanted to grow older... never enjoying the stage I was in. While I wouldn't want to go back, I'd do a few things differently. But I've reached that stage that I'm no longer eager to get older! I'd like to time to stand still (most days).

Thank you Laura and Tina for your kind words. Laura-are those tatoos real?! I finally did cut off my hair at 30 and was able to donate it to a group that gifted it to a financially disadvantaged kid with medical hair loss. Poor kid, he or she will love it until a humid day! And yes, you can donate hair even if some has turned white or gray...they can dye it. Of course that statement does not apply to me ;)

Laura L Miller (Cogbill)

Lori that's fantastic! Do they take totally fried hair lol, because I am so sick of mine I want to shave it all off...but then I would have to get all pierced up to distract from my wonderful baldness...You asked about my baby ;) yes my tattoo is real. I should have had more by now, but had to cancel the last appt. Hoping to have another before reunion time. I'm completely addicted--if I had more $$ there would be no stopping me ;) As for not knowing people--god I must win the award for shyest, most oblivious...I've had so much fun "meeting" whs people on myspace & facebook and now here...the things we didn't know about each other...

I'm w/ you Laura!! I wanted to donate my hair to "Locks of Love" since it was down to my waist but I wasn't brave enough to get it cut as short as necessary to donate it. Looking back now, I wish I would've done it 'cause all I do is wear my hair in a pony tail these days! That also has to do w/ having a 6 month old son that likes to have the death grip on anything in his reach!
I commend you, Lori for doing that, you had alot of hair also!
Thank you,Tina for those kind words..it's nice to be remembered in a good way!

Thanks Carrie! The donation made it an easier decision. Okay everyone...I have made a commitment to myself to work out every day for one hour for the next 60 days...just in time for our reunion. I have lost over 100 pounds and have 30 to go. SO I am using the reunion as my final push. SO stay tuned...funny what eating healthy and exercise can do. No, I did not have any surgeries but that road is just as hard as diet and exercise. 2 days down...58 to go!

Laura L Miller (Cogbill)

Can I join you Lori? I lost 60...but 10 creeped back on before I ever hit my goal wt..so I'm trying to get rid of that last 15 (stubborn motherf*krs)...will be waiting for your updates hun! Congratulations Lori--it is TOUGH (esp maintaining)--wishing you the best for the reunion countdown :) :) :)

I'm doing the same thing,Lori! I have at least 15lbs. of baby weight that I need to lose & I'm using the reunion as my "kick in the butt" to get it done! I'm not even sure if I'm going but I'm still using that as my motivation to lose the weight. It sure does seem alot harder once you hit 30+!! ;} Good Luck!!!

09/30/08 12:33 PM #35

Amanda Brooks (DiMartino)

I, on the other hand, am trying hard to GAIN that last 15lbs before the reunion. I've found that once you hit 30, it's so much easier-even without kids!

Hehhehehehhhh... <3

Laura L Miller (Cogbill)

bad girl. I've been waiting for that assignment for years. Oh god I MISS pizza. And cake. It's no wonder I can't lose the final 15 though...my husband is the ultimate in-home bartender, and I am his willing taste tester...and even when he's not mixing up some amazing shot, there's always the diet-killer jaeger and rootbeer rofl (do NOT slam my favorite Rock Band beverage until you try it...I hated jaeger until I had this)

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

I know a different side of Carrie than you guys did. SHY.... lol.... we had a blast in my monte carlo, and then all the times we had near death experiances after high school. She does have beautiful hair. ( Didn't I try to cut it off in pre-school?) I miss ya girly!

09/30/08 08:40 PM #38

Carrie Miller

Hey, thanks Bets! I think we had a blast in all your vehicles, didn't we? LOL!!! You always had a way of getting me into trouble...just ask my mom! haha!! :) As far as cutting my hair in preschool, I don't remember but I do remember eating glue together in preschool (yum)!! Miss ya too, when are you coming up north?

09/30/08 09:28 PM #39

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

I'm not sure. I really want to come to the reunion, but my husband may be going on a mission trip to Africa again the same day. If he goes, then I just might come. If not, then because of our business, I have to keep the office open. Bummer....... I tried to call you tonight. Oh, and Lori did have the most beautiful hair that I have ever seen. (besides yours) I do need a Jessica, Carrie, and Alicia fix.

09/30/08 09:35 PM #40

Elizabeth Cole (Holcombe)

Oh, I just wanted to clear some things up for EVERYONE> CARRie was worse than I was, she just had the innocent look about her. I never pretended to be good! Ah the joys of unruly youth! Does Linda still hate me. LOL

Loving this site and happy to hear from everyone. It seems traffic is picking up! I am actually spending next week in Wadsworth dogsitting for my Mom. Same house I grew up in. Maybe I should have a bonfire/party. My brother and I never missed a chance to have a party at the house when my parents were out of town...why should it be any different now?! Do you remember skipping a whole night of sleep for the fun of it?! I would collapse if I attempted that now. No...I do not have any kids yet. Maybe we skip nights of sleep as teens to train for parenting!

Lori- Are you in touch with Leah? Do her folks still live next door?

10/01/08 12:51 AM #43

Lori Barauskas

Ahhh...I am blessed Tina. Leah and I are in touch and see each other as often as our schedules permit. Friends/neighbors since birth! She is as good as a sister!

Angie Keel (Schnick)

I'm in the same catagory as Laura, Shane and Carrie...I was soooo very shy but I did manage to talk to people though if forced lol...I think I was the person who knew everyone and that for the most part everyone knew me but I don't think I would even remotely put myself in any type of clique. I would love to go back and do things differently now though....Laura still workin' on gteting my first tattoo....I've started a fund now lol!

Amanda Brooks (DiMartino)

Agrees with this statement---->Oh, I just wanted to clear some things up for EVERYONE> CARRie was worse than I was, she just had the innocent look about her.

FYI Angie tattoos are good for the soul. I only have one, I had it done in Lynchburg, VA when I was 25...loooong story, but a good one. I love creative tattoos!

Lori-I remember your house was my fave to spend the night at..so fun!

I am glad everyone is here and participating! :)

10/01/08 09:35 AM #46

Laura L Miller (Cogbill)

Angie you know I'm dying for you to get your tat lol! The reason I'm in such a rush for the next one is I KNOW I will spend that money on something else if I don't hurry up and use it...god forbid I spend it on something practical--gasoline. milk. school supplies...And if you were shy in high school, you didn't come across that way...you always seemed really relaxed and involved...

10/01/08 11:13 AM #47

Carrie Miller

Hey, even if I was the least bit mischevious it was only 'cause I was influnced by those around me!! ;] Believe it or not I think I'm more shy now than ever! I think it has to do w/ being such a homebody since I got pregnant & had Nick. I need to get out & "mingle" more but all my friends are either living out of state or starting families themselves.
Lori-- I remember being at one of your bonfires also, I think we were freshman. I'm sure I had a good time but unfortunately due to things I've done to myself in the past my memory doesn't go back that far!! LOL!
