One of God's greatest gifts to mankind is our ability to love. Houston and Laurie, I want to thank you for the love you've showed all of us by the work you put in, trying to allow the 1976 Class of Wake Forest Roseville Senior High School, to experience an evening of old friends, fellowship, and the love of our fellow man.
I just received the news that the reunion has been cancelled due to the threats and intolerances of someone, understandable too ashamed of their bigotry to claim their thoughts publicly, that has forgotten one of God's few request of us, you know the one about "thou shall not judge." As much as I love you guys and what you tried to do for us, I pity this person who's world can be put in such turmoil by the way others choose to live their lives.
If I haven't learned anything else over the past 53 years, I've learned it is all I can do to live my onw live and try to find my own happiness. I'm glad to have learned through the website that you, Houston and Laurie, have found some level of comfort and happiness in your lives. The point of this post is to ask you, and any other classmates who read this, to join me in praying for this poor, unhappy, lost soul that is so offended by the way other choose to live their lives. Pray that God could replace some of the hate in their heart with love, and that someday they too may find some peace, comfort, confidence and happiness through living their own life.
Not afraid to claim my thoughts, your classmate,
Peter (Joe) Jones
