Anna M. Williams
Anna Marie Williams, 61, of Madison died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Born Jan. 16, 1947, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Roy D. and Almedia E. (Browning) Short. She married Larry V. Williams on March 9, 1968, near Shelbyville, and he survives.

Other survivors include her mother of Madison; sons, Steve (wife, Sharon) Williams of Naples, Fla., and Brett (wife, Raney) Williams of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Mariah Williams, Clara Williams, Keely Williams and Lukas Williams; several cousins; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Mrs. Williams was a retired registered nurse.

She graduated from Waldron High School and in 1969 from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. Williams was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and had stated that her husband, sons and grandchildren were the joy of her life. She enjoyed her nursing career, volunteering and giving countless hours, energy, wisdom and resources to many organizations, clubs and political events.

Private visitation and services will be conducted.

Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison is handling the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to King's Daughters' Hospital and Health Services Foundation through the funeral home.
