Mary Barbeau DeRome

We currently have three dogs, two border terriers named Tess and Hunter, and one terrier mix rescue named Roscoe. We also have 12 chickens, two rabbits, a snake, and some fish.

After graduation, attended UCONN in Storrs and graduated with a degree in chemistry. I also met my husband Dave there (we met because he was Tracy Alia's roommate for a semester!). Dave and I got married in 1986. I attended graduate school at UCONN Health Center in Farmington, and also back at UCONN Storrs. Our daughter Emily is now almost 15 and is a freshman at Hand HS in Madison. Going to her marching band half-time shows, band concerts, and school plays really brings back memories of Sheehan!! I am currently working as a senior scientist at Artificial Cell Technologies in Science Park in New Haven, helping developing synthetic vaccine technology.
