Welcome...

Municipal Building

to the official website of Nether Providence Township. We are a close-knit community lying just 15 miles southwest of Philadelphia in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Our 13,000 residents live in a 4.6 square mile area and enjoy outstanding schools, attractive neighborhoods, convenient public transportation, inviting public parks and walking trails, and an array of nearby social, cultural and athletic activities.

Founded in 1687, our township is rich in history. Historical landmarks include the elegant summer home of tobacco merchant Thomas Leiper, which is listed on the National Register of Historical Places and open to the public, and the Wallingford Train Station, designed by Frank Furness and still in use today.

We hope this website will become your first stop for news and information about Nether Providence Township.
